OUR RETURN POLICY
Because each Pretty Bee Hive is custom designed and decorated, and because photos are provided to the buyer before the item ships, there are absolutely NO returns. The reason for this is that once you have taken ownership of the hives, we are no longer in control of what it gets exposed to – perhaps accidentally it is left out uncovered when the garden is sprayed and toxic chemicals could get INSIDE the empty beehive – or someone could start painting inside the hive (absolutely forbidden under any circumstances), or someone could try to paint the outside and change the current design. I personally vouch for every beehive that leaves here – it has been painted with non-toxic/low/no VOC exterior latex paint which is NON TOXIC TO BEES AND OTHER INSECTS – all paint is completely dry and there is NO LINGERING SMELL WHATSOEVER – so once you receive your beehive, it’s completely ready to accept bees. Once that beehive leaves our premises, there are absolutely no returns.
It might also happen that you use your Pretty Bee Hive and several months later need to treat your bees for something (Varroa, for example) – then if you decide you want to return your hive, I can no longer truthfully state that it has had NO exposure to any kind of chemical. So you see the point? When a Pretty Bee Hive leaves here, it has NEVER had bees inside it, NEVER had any exposure to chemicals or pesticides, and NEVER been used. It is BRAND NEW, except it is beautifully painted and decorated.
Please note, ALL beehives (boxes and frames) were purchased from very reputable BEE SUPPLY STORES (I NEVER EVER purchase bee hives or frames or anything that the bees will walk on through online marketplaces or big box stores – ONLY bee supply places). Mostly I purchase directly from South Florida Bee Supply. I LOVE them! This is how they describe their hives (deeps and mediums): “This item is a 10 frame Deep Hive Body unassembled also known as the Brood Box-“Commercial Grade which is by far our most popular. Our boxes are made of high quality pine. Commercial grade allows for tight, solid knots and tight cracks.” They REALLY know bees and beekeeping, so I trust their products implicitly.
